How Lecida Hosting Works

How Lecida Hosting Wo

Lecida Hosting is a community-driven marketplace that allows cooks to sell homemade meals to their neighbors. Over the years, we’ve helped Hosts serve thousands of people across the country, while also donating thousands of meals to healthcare workers and nonprofits.

Our customers come from all walks of life, representing a rich mix of backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences. Many of our customers, like our Hosts, are immigrants and expats who use Host to reconnect with comforting flavors from their home countries. We warmly welcome every customer into the Host community, just as we do with every new Host.

Cooking on Lecida

Cooking on Lecida offers a rewarding way to share your culture through food while earning a meaningful income. As a Host, you’ll have full control over your menu, cooking schedule, and pricing. All orders are placed in advance, giving you time to source fresh ingredients, prepare, and package meals efficiently without food waste. We’ll provide you with a clear list of all your orders, so you can focus on the cooking. Once your dishes are prepared, you’ll cool and package them for delivery. After customers receive their meals, you’ll have the opportunity to hear their feedback and see how much they enjoyed your food.

Cooking from Home

Regulations for home cooking vary by location and the type of food being sold. It’s important to check your local laws to ensure you’re allowed to cook and sell food from home. If home cooking laws haven’t been implemented in your area, you can still become an approved Host by using a commercial kitchen or another legal cooking facility. All Hosts must adhere to the required licensing and food safety regulations in their region.

For specific details, consult the Responsible Cooking Guidelines for your state.
